As a result of the current circumstances regarding COVID-19, in an effort to prevent the spread of the virus under advisement from the New Jersey State Government and CDC, the NJ Tree Foundation is currently making plans to reschedule tree planting events set to occur in early April. Some of these events may happen later in the spring, some could be pushed to the fall. We appreciate your patience during this time as we work to provide a safe, fun volunteer environment for planting trees.
Our current plan is to postpone events that were scheduled for the first two weekends in April and reevaluate the situation on Monday, April 13th. Please scroll below to see impacted volunteer events. Expect to hear from us again the week of April 13th with an updated schedule for the remainder of the spring tree planting season.
When our events resume, you have our assurance that additional measures will be in place to provide a clean, safe event space. We will:
- Provide hand sanitizer that is at least 60% alcohol based
- Provide sanitizing wipes and/or spray and tissues/paper towels
- Use brand new gloves for every volunteer
- Have a sanitary first aid kit on hand if needed (as always)
- Sanitize all used tools after each event
We hope to see your smiling faces volunteering this season, but for now let’s all stay healthy. If you have any questions about a specific planting event please reach out to the noted staff member below.
